Feedback & Evaluations

Feedback takes multiple shapes. 

One frequently used vehicle for feedback is assignment rubrics. A variation on the more traditional rubrics that allows personalized feedback that does not rely on anticipated pitfalls is a single-point rubric. While its adoption is limited at this time, it has still had considerable success in implementation. For example, it is used in GPH courses and several Social Work courses.

We often rely on peer feedback on written assignments and oral presentations in our courses as well. These both lighten the load per student and include a variety of perspectives. Peer evaluations may be structured, loosely or strictly, for instance, by providing a general guide or by including a precise detailed evaluation form.

Rubrics

Courses include links to the University Resources page which lists most frequently used resources for our students and other supporting sites. Our program standards for writing are APA and AMA styles, depending on the program.
