Practicum Information
Position Title: Public Health and Medical Care Program Intern

Description of Practicum Project: At VIN, we aim to improve health in rural communities through education, health services and public health development. We need medical volunteers or interns to join our public health and medical care project, and sustainably change the health, and hygiene of Nepal’s rural people.
Tasks: Reviewing patients, providing basic counseling, taking pulse rates and blood pressure, and providing ongoing education on basic public health awareness and hygiene among the local people.
Requirements: VIN welcomes all interested medical students and healthcare professionals. You will work 3 – 5 hours a day, up to 6 days a week. During your stay, you will live in the community with a Nepali host family, immersing you in community life, language and culture.

Additional Information: We have 46 long term projects available. We conduct orientation on the 1st and 15th of each month. Our LMTV projects are available for 4 weeks, 4 weeks plus duration. A visitor can stay a maximum of 150 days in one calendar year.
