Please save the date for a Tick and Mosquito Training – a workshop designed by the Maine CDC to increase the number of people at the community level who are aware and informed about mosquito and tick borne diseases, and can serve as a resource to others. The training will focus on pest identification, and exposure prevention methods such as reducing pest habitat around homes, and using repellents.
Presenters will comprise local health officers from Cumberland district, Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency’s Medical Reserve Corps team and Animal Response team members, and others. A Maine CDC Field Epidemiologist will be present to answer any questions.
After the course, all participants will receive certificates and tick kits. There will be light refreshments.
