Description: Public Intermediate School for grades 3-5. Provide therapeutic atmosphere and activities for individual students or small groups in order for them to be able to access their academic program. Consult with families and staff (teachers, support staff, administration) develop and implement goals for students receiving academic support. Maintain data regarding goals. Participate in project learning team. Write reports regarding student progress, update progress reports for quarterly report cards. Crisis support/intervention (as needed). Implement Social Thinking Curriculum (Michelle Garcia Winner). Provide support to teachers and other staff. Liaison with community agencies; make referrals. Participate in IEP, MDT, Students of Concern, Sp. Ed; District Social Work and supervision with psychologist, meetings. Attend parent conferences when indicated. Write behavior plans and do classroom observations when requested. Student learning opportunities: Case management, program development, advocacy, assessments, individual counseling, case documentation, conflict resolution, group work.
