Students will be paired with their own caseload. They will work individually with their clients to find resources, network or advocate for presenting needs. There will be opportunities to create treatment plans with clients, and conduct updated assessments. Students will also document their encounters with clients by writing SOAP notes. Students may also work as part of a team on a macro project. These projects are created to help a community in various ways (i.e.: foster children population, first responders, etc.). Students may have the opportunity to network through other organizations, advocate, research grants, run social media for outreach programs, etc. Second year students would apply therapeutic approaches and help clients on a more clinical level under the direct guidance of a supervisor. Students will work independently on their cases, but have a chance of being on a case with a peer. This team work allows students to work alongside each other and collectively assist on a case.

Students will receive formal supervision weekly, and informal supervision as often as a student needs. This agency has several supervisors available per shift for students needs/ questions. Students should be able to work independently, have the ability to navigate google systems (forms, Gmail, sheets), practice professionalism, have problem solving skills, and a willingness to be open to new opportunities.
