Description: LearningWorks is committed to strengthening the communities we serve by providing free community-based education programs for children, adults, and families throughout Southern Maine. Our primary goal is to support academic and personal success for our neighbors who lack resources and/or fall outside traditional educational structures. Opportunities include case management with incarcerated youth in a community setting, or with at-risk, high school drop-outs working to obtain a GED and learning leadership, life skills and job skills. Opportunities for research, program development and grant writing available. Work with refugees and immigrants in the Riverton community.
