Description: The Sanford Schools Outreach Team works with school Student Assistance Teams and the School Resource Coordinator to provide both home and community-based support for students who are having difficulty succeeding in school by adding services and supports to the whole family system and helping both the student and the family feel more connected to their school, neighborhood and community. UNE student learning opportunities include: case management; program development; program evaluation; advocacy; community organizing; grant-writing; assessments; community education; individual counseling; case documentation; milieu management; family work; conflict resolution; legislative advocacy; group work.
