Description: Acute care, skilled care, long term care from birth to death. Student will have opportunities to learn how to complete assessments, one on one interviews. Family interventions, discharge planning, connecting patients to resources and building relationships with resources, working in a team approach, crisis management. Social services provides service to inpatients, outpatients, and employees to address psychosocial needs such as: prenatal and postpartum depression, coping with diagnosis, and life changing events.
