Services
Substance Use Prevention Services - We deliver a widespread range of services that include research-based education programs, skills development for behavioral health, positive alternative activities for youth, and training sessions for parents.
Residential Support - New Choices provides a variety of residential services including permanent supportive housing and community reintegration residences.
Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) that provides outpatient services including assessment, medical, clinical, group counseling, family services, peer support and Methadone for those struggling with an Opiate Use Disorder (OUD) and who are deemed medically appropriate for the program.
Impaired Driver Program (IDP) - A 16 hour educational program, approved by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, that helps to restore the driving privileges for individuals convicted of an alcohol- or drug-related driving violation.
Gambling Recovery
New Choices Recovery Center offers a comprehensive array of Outpatient services. Both our 728 and 840 State Street locations provide Outpatient Substance Use Disorder treatment. For those requiring more extensive care, the 728 State Street clinic provides Full Day Rehabilitation Services.

Description: At New Dawn, we provide personalized counseling services based on the needs of each client. Our counseling services are focused on integrating a holistic approach to help children and their support systems by accompanying them through their mental health challenges.

Foundational Theories and Models:
At New Dawn, we work from relevant approaches to Marriage and Family therapy, such as
Family Systems, Psychodynamic and Humanistic theories. We have developed an integrative
wellness model that encompasses the different dimensions of the human being such as
physical, environmental, mental and spiritual. Trainees receive up to 36 hours of training in our continuum of integrative wellness model.
Clinical Skills Development:
In our onboarding and development processes we provide hands-on training in essential clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, communication techniques, intervention strategies and dealing with crises. In addition to the clinical skills, they will also develop their professional clinical skills such as learning how to use an electronic health record, collaborative note taking and how to maintain a client's chart.
Supervision and Feedback:
We have a wide variety of different forms of support for trainees and clinicians, we provide
group supervision and triadic supervision following BBS standards. Our supervisors have
different theories that allow them to conceptualize cases from different perspectives and
provide unique forms of support from each supervisor. Along with the clinical supervisors, we also have a clinical program coordinator that supports the trainees and clinicians with clinical processes and procedures.
Trainees also get training and experience in Cultural Competency, Ethics and Professional Standards and Self-Care.

Qualifications: Proactive communication skills, adaptable to change, a balance between teamwork and autonomy.

Description: New Hope for Women provides services to battered women and their children, families, friends and communities in Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties. These services include a 24hr crisis intervention hotline, emergency, shelter, court and systems advocacy, legal information and referrals, support groups for survivors, prevention groups and outreach programs in schools and community education and response training. Two units of transitional housing in Rockland and another pair in Belfast. Additional locations in Belfast and Bath.
