BSW/Generalist Year Opportunities

Portland locations (22 Bramhall Street and 241 Oxford Street) - primarily supports non-english speaking, new Mainers who are walk ins or "warm hand offs" from outpatient clinics. Students provide case management services including triaging and assessing needs related to basic and healthcare needs, providing general emotional and supportive care, and making resource referrals.

Portland 241 Oxford Street location only - option to provide primarily telephonic health coverage support.
Additional option to carry a caseload and provide case management support to walk-ins (primarily New Mainers) needing assistance with basic needs (clothing, food, transportation and healthcare). This support includes assessing needs, providing general emotional support, and making resource referrals.

Oncology Practices - student works within medical setting to assist patients with gaining access to medication, assisting with applications for co-pay foundations, and referring to other relevant resources.

Biddeford location - student has the opportunity to provide case management services primarily to asylum seekers. Opportunities to collaborate, interact with, and advocate for patient needs for the legal, education, housing, and medical systems

Specialization / 2nd Year MSW Opportunities

Multiple Locations in Greater Portland Area - students work with a diverse population of under resources clients to provide on-going counseling and case management services. Opportunity to work with individuals and families.
