Description: Spring Harbor Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents. The children's unit, with 12 beds, accepts children aged 4 to 13 years old. Adolescents (13-20 years old) are separated by gender into one of two 14-bed units Children and adolescents are admitted for a variety of mental health issues that severely impact their well-being and ability to function. Student will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team. They will do short term work with patients that includes assessments, discharge planning, family work, group work.
