Description: The mission of the Family Support Program is to partner with families to increase safety, family stability and community integration of the families served through the program. The program provides a differential response to Child Protective referrals, based on level of risk. A differential response indicates two pathways for families referred for abuse or neglect. An investigation by DHS for high-risk families, or a voluntary safety assessment and follow-up case management services for families at low to moderate risk of child endangerment and DHS services cases.
